- On current physical distancing state of mind:
My physical distancing has been a blessing in disguise. Yes, I may miss going outdoors and connecting with humanity in a physical aspect, but it has allowed me to push the reset button on my life. I have recalibrated my way of thinking and focus on the things I am grateful for in life. For the first time, I have been able to reconnect with my family on levels that I use to experience only in my childhood years. The chaotic life of being an adult can be distracting because of the responsibilities that tear us away from the core element of our existence–the ability to freely connect with love without the setbacks of the material world.
I can reflect on the essential things in life and find peace and connection with myself, God and the nature around us.
- Being a woman, Model, CEO, inspiration and friend while in quarantine:
It means still being able to avail myself as a helping hand and listening ear to those who may need me. The very love we give will come back in many ways without expectations of its return. It’s a selfless act and an intentional responsibility we all should aim to fulfill. It brings us closer together and united, which is essential, especially in these times, as many may feel alone and neglected.

- Value and importance of a woman reinforced:
Women are a natural caregiver, and we love to connect and make sure the household is running efficiently. I enjoy cooking and seeing my family members fed and happy; I also focus on the mental health and stability of those around me, which I find is an embedded inclination as a woman. We are like the “glue” that holds things together for the family, bringing unresolved situations to an established resolution as we don’t fail to give instruction or advice, we are ultimately a major key factor for family development. Also, I notice sacrificing personal plans to engage is essential as a woman– my younger brother enjoys playing video games with me. At the same time, my sisters and mom love having a simple chat or watching movies together. These initiatives show simple acts of love as a woman by being available and connected, which will be valued long term.
- Character building:
Character development– I have been able to identify and work my weakness previously overshadowed while consumed by the face-paced life. Also, I have grown to be more patient.
